  1. How to Install the Cool Mac Stacks
  2. (don't worry—it's easy.)
  3.  
  4. To make the files in this collection fit on a standard 800K floppy 
  5. disk, they are compressed using Bill Goodman's application, 
  6. Compactor Pro. 
  7.  
  8. Although there is some space left on the floppy disk, you need at 
  9. least one and a half megabytes (1,500 K) of space available on 
  10. your hard disk to install the contents of Cool Mac Stacks.
  11.  
  12. 1.    Insert the Cool Mac Stacks Disk into your floppy drive.
  13.  
  14. 2.    Double-click on the Cool Mac Stacks disk icon on your desktop.
  15.  
  16. 3.    Double-click on the icon named "Cool Mac Stack.sea" ("sea" stands 
  17.      for Self-Extracting Archive). This launches the Compactor Pro 
  18.      application inside of the archive to install the Cool Mac Stacks 
  19.      Folder on your hard disk. You then see a dialog box.

  21. 4.    Choose to install the Cool Mac Stacks Folder on your hard disk 
  22.         (obviously there isn't room on the floppy). You may choose to install 
  23.         the Cool Mac Stacks Folder inside another folder on your hard disk 
  24.         if you prefer.

  26. 5.    Click on the Extract button when you are satisfied as to where the 
  27.         Cool Mac Stacks folder will be placed. A progress bar tells you how 
  28.         far the process has to go. Since this could take a while, sit back. 
  29.         Grab a cup of coffee. When the extraction is done, your dentist 
  30.         (just kidding), will tell you. You'll see a new folder on your hard 
  31.         disk called "Cool Mac Stacks." Inside the Cool Mac Stacks folder are 
  32.         folders called "Information Enhancement," Fun and Games," "Utilities," 
  33.         and "Building Blocks" which correspond to the sections of the same 
  34.         name in the book. Inside these folders are the stacks.
